THIS JUST IN: 95 species!

It's a Birdathon in 3.5 parts - 1) a la bici on the Loop to Sweetwater and back, 2) Empire Gulch at Las Cienegas, 3) along Turkey Creek on the west side of the Chiricahuas, and a last minute addition 4) sitting by the creek at Madera Canyon.. All limited by the attention span of a 3-yr old!

Tucson Audubon does some amazing work on bird conservation via research, habitat protection and enhancement, and public engagement.

Here's your chance to support that work! 

UPDATE: On part 3 of our birdathon we got to see a Code 4 (that means super rare) bird, well 2 of them!, Crescent-chested Warbler! One of a pair of lifers for the morning.

All the chicks from our Lucy's Warbler box have fledged.

. They're singing and still around, maybe they'll double clutch..? Who knows; theirs also a new nest being built in the box in the ironwood tree out front!
