Father/son duo, Luke and Brock Safford, annually go out in the spring for a "Big Day", and this year we'll be doing it Birdathon style. Exact route and date hasn't been picked yet--but maybe you have an idea for us... We'll keep all of our supporters up-to-date with our plans and we especially encourage "per/species" donations as they keep us going throughout the day! Consider additional creative pledges such as $5 for each species of waterfowl or hummingbird, an extra $1 for every individual trogon, or .25 cents for every individual Kingbird counted. • Jolene Safford: $50 if you see or hear a Mexican Spotted Owl
• Bess Wong: $2/species and an extra $5 for each species of owl seen

• Susan Kozacek: $1/species and an additional $1 for each species of a confirmed id of Female of that species

• Marcia Grand: $10/species and an extra $1,000 if you spot a roadrunner, an extra $50 for every owl species over 2, an extra $100 for every working nest (ie, bird on nest and/or eggs in nest), an extra $10 for every snake you ID, $100 for every hawk over 4, and $10 for every identifiable butterfly
• Shari & Ed Montgomery: $1/species and an extra $5/Kestrel
• Monica Tomosy & Jim Greer: $ for every Bird "Species of Greatest Conservation Concern" as listed in Appendix E of the Arizona Game and Fish Department's "State Wildlife Action Plan" (50 cents for 'heard only')
• Lyn Loveless: $0.50/species and an extra $2 for each species you see whose name contains a primary color (red, blue, or yellow) (like yellow-eyed junco, or red-tailed hawk or painted redstart)
• Joan Durgin: $1 for each warbler species, $0.50 for each individual woodpecker seen, $0.50 for each individual tanager seen
• Elizabeth Weintraub: $1/species and an extra $10 for a Crissal Thrasher
• Jenny & Jeff Crandall: $0.50/species and an extra $3 for every bird you see pooping :)
• Dawn & Bret Bellevue: $1/species
• Delores Schultz: $0.50/species
• Joan & Rick Suther: $0.50/species and an extra $5 for a Mexican whippoorwill

Birds have a unique, special, and different meaning to each of us. So, too, is each of our connection with Tucson Audubon Society personal and distinct. During Birdathon, we combine the love of bird watching during spring migration with support for bird conservation.

Birdathoners are birders and social fundraisers, joining together to make a difference for the birds and habitats of Southeast Arizona. Birdathoners continue a tradition that has held strong for over 30 years! 

Each Birdathoner's personal network of supporters is what helps makes Birdathon possible.
