Co-leaders of the Blue Birds team are Tom and Debbie Collazo and our Blue Heeler named "Blue."  We hope that you will support our April big-day that will include birding in Tucson, along the San Pedro River near to Sierra Vista and in Carr Canyon in the Huachuca Mountains.  Your pledges will help to make many of Tucson Audubon Society's wonderful programs in habitat protection and environmental education possible.  

We know the Huachuca Mountain area pretty well from our eight years managing Ramsey Canyon Preserve.  We hope to see some of the sky island specialties including Blue-throated Hummingbird, Hepatic Tanager and Elegant Trogon.  Blue, who does his birding on leash, comes from herding lineage (we think) and might help us find a Cattle Egret or a Bronze-headed Cowbird.

It's going to be a fun day for us in southeastern Arizona.  As in past Birdathons, the first species on our list will be the Rooster, identified by voice before dawn from our backyard in Barrio Hollywood. Please support Tucson Audubon!
