My birder friend and I are taking her little bitty daughter on a birdathon in Sonoita this week! Our team is called the Sonoita Peep-Squeaks and our little birder is two and a half years old (but she's already a little pro!) We're excited!! We'll have 24 hrs. to count as many birds as we can! We're doing it to raise funds for Tucson Audubon Society. Will you pledge a little (or a lot!), per bird, or a flat amount, or a bonus for anything we see over 50 species, or an even larger bonus for an eagle or gasp! even an Archaeopteryx?!! If we do well this year, we'll have an even bigger team of peep-squeaks next year. So come on! - let's help encourage citizen bird science and a fundraising spirit in our little peeps here in Sonoita.

Birds have a unique, special, and different meaning to each of us. So too is each of our connection with Tucson Audubon Society personal and distinct. During Birdathon, we combine the love of bird watching during spring migration with support for bird conservation.

Birdathoners are birders and social fundraisers, joining together to make a difference for the birds and habitats of southeast Arizona. Birdathoners continue a tradition that has held strong for 30 years! 

Each Birdathoner's personal network of supporters is what helps makes Birdathon possible.
