Jennie MacFarland of Tucson Audubon will be Larking Up Lemmon on Tuesday, April 28th from 3am to the early afternoon.
This is a less intense half-day team. We will work our way up Mt. Lemmon before dawn getting different owls and night jars at the different elevations. We will listen for a dawn chorus up at the top and then bird our way down with a planned finish around lunch time when we can all go get lunch somewhere on the east side. This will be a less intense Birdathon full of friendship and fun! Meeting at 3am at the McDonald's on Tanque Verde Rd and Catalina Highway (restuarant will not be open yet - there are restrooms on the mountain).
Suggested $100 fundraising to join this team
Birds have a unique, special, and different meaning to each of us. So too is each of our connection with Tucson Audubon Society personal and distinct. During Birdathon, we combine the love of bird watching during spring migration with support for bird conservation.
Birdathoners are birders and social fundraisers, joining together to make a difference for the birds and habitats of southeast Arizona. Birdathoners continue a tradition that has held strong for over 25 years.
Each Birdathoner's personal network of supporters is what helps makes Birdathon possible.
This April and May, I'm going birding for the birds!
