Join The Loopers on a two-wheeled, fun-filled birding tour of Tucson’s Loop bike path! So many great birding hotspots are located along the Loop it’s difficult to choose where to go! Riding along the Santa Cruz and Rillito Rivers guarantees possible surprises around every corner, but we’ll focus on bird-rich spots such as Sweetwater Wetlands, Evergreen Cemetery and Fort Lowell Park. Other stops could include Coachline Gravel Pit, city parks such as Columbus, Reid and others, or Woodland Rd and the Tanque Verde Wash on the east side. We’ll focus on relaxed riding and take the time to hear and see birds along the way. Our exact route is flexible and will depend on team input and current rarities, but most likely we will start at or near Sweetwater at daybreak. We’ll stop for lunch when hunger strikes and finish up by late afternoon. Details after you sign up. See you on the Loop!
