Hello Tucson Audubon and Birdathon supporters!
UPDATE! Wrenegades find 160 species on epic day!
UPDATE! Team Waterfoul scores 87 species!
This year I'm going back to my Birdathon roots and doing a full-fledged 24-hour assault with the Wrenegades, AND I'll once again be part of the habitat restoration Team Waterfoul. Double your fun and chances to support!
I am excited to join the Wrenegades team as they have won the Birdathon title the last two years! This will be a traditional 24-hour tour of some of the hotspots around Tucson trying to get ALL the birds in mulitple kinds of habitat. It's going to be EPIC!
Team Waterfoul will hit reclaimed water sites in honor of habitat restoration! Sweetwater wetlands and Tucson Audubon site, the Simpson Farm will be the highlights of this day. We'll see a bunch of waterfowl and riparian specialties, and hopefully find those Simpson rarities, Bendire's Thrasher and White-tailed Kite!

Birds have a unique, special, and different meaning to each of us. So too is each of our connection with Tucson Audubon Society personal and distinct. During Birdathon, we combine the love of bird watching during spring migration with support for bird conservation.
Birdathoners are birders and social fundraisers, joining together to make a difference for the birds and habitats of southeast Arizona. Birdathoners continue a tradition that has held strong for over 25 years.
Each Birdathoner's personal network of supporters is what helps makes Birdathon possible.
