Honoring a Legacy Through the Tucson Birdathon

Update: my goal for the day is 101 species!

​Last year, birding saved me. After a long battle with postpartum depression and the sudden loss of my brother, getting outdoors helped me rediscover my joy and my identity.

​My brother was at home in nature. He loved the "middle of nowhere" and the challenge of a mountain climb. As the one-year anniversary of his passing approaches this March, I can think of no better way to celebrate his life than by supporting the nature he loved so much.

​The Challenge:

On April 24th, I’m going all-in for a Pima County Big Day. I’ll be scouring the county from sunrise to sunset to find as many bird species as I can to raise funds for the Tucson Bird Alliance.
