Tucson Bird Alliance Birdathon 2026 welcomes a new all-woman team, the Raven Mavens, led by expert birder and TBA staff member Alexis Stark.  Fellow staff members Christiana-Marie Wilburn, Grace Donahue and volunteer Kathleen Benyak will join Alexis as we enjoy spring migration and a birding bonanza weekend on April 18th.  We'll begin at The Paton Center and move up to Aravaipa Canyon, where we'll hike the pristine creek through lush and vital riparian habitat in the remote, rugged Galiuro Mountains.  In the mean time, beginning April 1st, Kathleen will visit her favorite SE AZ hotspots includin Madera, Cave Creek and Ash Canyons  and her own property, to get the species counted started and finish up at Aravaipa.  Our goal in addition to raising essential funds for the great work that TBA does on behalf of birds, birders, wildlife, and the environment, is to bond in our love of birds and have a great time!  We ask for donations with gratitude and hope to gain the support of friends and family as we head out on our adventures!
