Many of you know that I've recently joined the Board of Directors of the Tucson Bird Alliance (formerly known as Tucson Audubon Society).  It is a fantastic organization dedicated to inspiring people to enjoy and protect birds through recreation, education, conservation and restoration of  the environment.  Like so many non-profit organizations our federal funding is at risk. We could lose as much as $1.4 million this year work for  projects in invasive plant removal and habitat restoration. These projects are crucial to prevent wild fires and protect important bird habitat.  Please join me in making a donation to the Tucson Bird Alliance during the Birdathon.  I'll be out birding to raise money to protect our birds!
