Spring is progressing and the Wrenegades are molting, getting ready to soar next month in Tucson Audubon’s 2025 Birdathon, Last year’s total of 185 species was our highest yet for 24 hours in just the three counties of Southeastern Arizona, but we think we can beat this number, with more scouting, research, and a bit more mania.  Tweaking our route now, to add just another couple of stops for some night birds, perhaps a nesting raptor, whatever it takes to get to 190.

So, I hope you’ll consider a donation to Tucson Audubon during this fundraiser, as our bird numbers are dropping and the funding situation has never been more tenuous.  I believe in the work that TAS does for environmental conservation and education, enough to commit my own money and time.  I’ll be out again this year, helping on surveys, leading field trips, collecting and analyzing data.  I’m asking you to please contribute towards those goals and thanks so much for joining me in supporting this effort.
