Hello friends and family!  It is that time of year again - Birdathon time!  

I'm so proud to continue to be a part of such an impactful fundraiser for our local community that supports local birds and habitat right here in Southeast Arizona.  According to the recent State of the Birds 2025 report, 1/3 of bird species in our country are in decline and need support through conservation and policy efforts.  The best thing I can think to do is support Tucson Bird Alliance in their efforts to affect local conservation policy and their on the ground work in habitat conservation.  

This year, our Wrenegades Birdathon Team (Chris, Tim, Jennie, Matt and me!) will be heading out on April 30 for our full 24 hours of birding, to count the most species we can, and to raise the most dollars we can, to support Tucson Bird Alliance and the birds!  

Our 24 hour route varies from year to year, but essentially we try to visit as many habitats as possible - low desert all the way up to the tops of mountains and everywhere in between.  

Our Goal.... hmmm.....  I'm hoping to match our record 185 species counted in 24 hours.
