I'm excited to be participating in a Birdathon for the first time! During a visit to Tucson, I attended birding events by Tucson Bird Alliance (TBA). I was so impressed with their people and mission--and especially with how kind and supportive they are to newer birders--that I want to help raise money for this amazing organization.

My birding goal for April is to see 300 different species!* This could be possible thanks to my first international birding trip to Costa Rica. 

There are 2 ways you can donate:

#1 Pledge: You can donate based on how many total bird species I see in April. If you pledge 25 cents per species and I see 200, that would be a donation of $50.

#2 Donate: Make an easy, flat donation to my Birdathon efforts. 

You'll also see an option where you can add a Challenge Pledge. For example, you can pledge an extra $5 for every [Insert Cool Bird Species Here] I see. Or, an extra $20 for getting a rare bird. My birdy friends: get creative with this one! I will be birding in Oregon, SoCal, and Costa Rica in April!

P.S. - CAGN = the banding code for the California Gnatcatcher, a rare/endangered bird here in SoCal.

*Non-birding friends: this is kind of a high goal.
