The dad/son duo of Luke and Brock Safford are happy to add a new team member this year to the KingBirders -- Donito Burgess. This new trio will make every effort to see as many species of birds as possible on Saturday, April 27th. The sweet spot we want to hit is 150 birds, but we'll try for 175, please enhance our motivation by pledging per species to Tucson Audubon!

Pledges:

• Marcia Grand: $10/species and
  • $150 if you get all four (all must be ID’d and actually seen not just heard): snake, lizard, ground squirrel, rabbit
  • $150 if you see a coyote
  • $150 if you see five different types of waterbirds: ducks, cormorants, shore birds, grebes, herons, etc – anything that swims or is comfortable in the water.
• Lyn Loveless: $1/species and $5 for each wren species you record.  Have a great time!
• Mike Unger: $40 and $5 for every Elegant Trogan seen.  Good luck!!
• Kathy Little: $0.75/species.  Good luck Luke, Brock and Donito. May the birds be with you!!
• Jenny Crandall: $1/species.  Let's stay with tradition! I'll donate an extra $1 for every bird you witness pooping!
• Terri & Rob Safford: $ 5 for every bird that has the word "King" in it.  Have the "king-li-est" birding day ever!!!
• Kris & Monte Del Monte: $1/species and an extra $10 for each species of Oriole and $20 for a Scaled Quail. Good luck. Hope you break your personal best!
• Nancy Naeser: $0.50/species. Go Kingbirders!!
• Tricia Gerrodette: $1/species and an extra $1 for every species seen involving water
• Shari Montgomery: $1/species plus $10 per Kestrel, Vermilion Flycatcher, Elegant Trogon seen. Wishing you fun and hoping you see a record number of birds for the KINGBIRDERS!
• Elizabeth Weintraub: $1/species and an extra $5 for a Crissal Thrasher
• Dawn & Bret Bellevue: $1/species
• Clague Van Slyke: $0.50/species and an owl challenge - $5 for one species, $10 if you find two species, $20 if you find three species, $40 if you find four species, $80 if you find five species, $160 if you find six or more species.  Good luck - have a great day making memories together.
• Dee Schulz: $1/species
• Karin & Fred Yen: $0.50/species and an extra $0.50/species and an extra $5 for each woodpecker species seen and an extra $10 for each of these species if you actually see the bird (Golden Eagle, Elegant Trogon, 5 Striped Sparrow & Montezuma Quail). Good Luck and Have Fun!!
