Hello! We are Janel, Roswitha, Nancy, Sherry, Taylor, and new team member Bea. Together, we are Team Kinda Hawkward! This is our second year as a team, and we can't wait to participate in Birdathon again. There are so many things to look forward to...

Will Sherry's encyclopedic knowledge of birds from her decades running the Tucson Audubon library lead us to a win?

Will Nancy's visit to Panama bag us hundreds of new species?

Will Janel's fashion sense outshine the most intricate of plumages?

Will Roswitha gravely injure herself again?

Will the team kick Taylor out for making too many bird puns?

Will Bea see her favorite bird in the world, the correcaminos?

Stay tuned to find out! Five of us will be birding at Sweetwater Wetlands and Madera Canyon and Nancy will be birding in PANAMA (and rudely did not invite the rest of us).

• Taylor Rubin: $0.50 for every individual turkey or black vulture seen in AZ and $15 per species if Nancy sees a lesser yellow-headed vulture and/or a king vulture in Panama
• Roger Reason: $1/species; $5 for an elegant trogon; $5 for Bea's roadrunner; $15 for Nancy to see a king vulture
• Janel Miller: $0.25/speices; $1 for each lifer on the team; $1 per species of mammal; $5 for a hawk in an altercation
