Team "Dry Martini, Two Olive Warblers" is back!

Linda Matson, Cathy Yungbluth, Hollie Mansfield and our teammates will bird Madera Canyon and environs on Sunday, April 16, 2023.

We'll be grateful for donations in any amount to help the birds. As an added incentive, if you donate at least $25, you'll receive a set of two rustic stone drink coasters imprinted with our logo or another small logo gift. Available while supplies last! If you donate and would like coasters, please send an email to Linda so we can get them to you locally.

You can make a donation of a fixed amount or pledge an amount for every species we see. You can also add a special challenge--for example, an extra $5 for an Elegant Trogon or $10 if we get the coveted Olive Warbler. So far, we’ve dipped on the Olive Warbler on Birdathon, but we might try harder if properly incentivized!

Please consider joining team Dry Martini on April 16th for a relaxed, casual birding outing at Madera Canyon followed by a casual picnic lunch (minimum donation $25, thanks!) • Melinda Correll: $250 for spotting one Elegant Trogon
• Marcia Grand: $10/species; $100 for a rattler; $150 for 3 species Tiny Owls; $100 for 3 species frogs; $150 for a Large Lizard like a Gila Monster, Desert Iguana, Chuckwalla, etc; $150 for any 3 – javelina, coyote, bobcat, racoon, jackrabbit, skunk, deer, coatimundi; $10 for each working nest; $150 for one saguaro with an active nest in it; $150 for any 5 hummingbirds; $250 for mountain lion.
• Michael Judd: $1/species and $6 per (non) Olive (non) Warbler; $20 any Golden Eagles; $5 any alligator lizard $25 mountain king snake/ridge-nosed rattlesnake/black-tailed rattlesnake.
• Hollie Mansfield: $1/species of birds, $5/species of mammal, $10 for 5 species of hummingbirds, $20 for an Elegant Trogon, $30 for a Roadrunner, $40 for a Five-striped Sparrow and $50 for a Golden Eagle.

Birds have a unique, special, and different meaning to each of us. So, too, is each of our connection with Tucson Audubon Society personal and distinct. During Birdathon, we combine the love of bird watching during spring migration with support for bird conservation.

Birdathoners are birders and social fundraisers, joining together to make a difference for the birds and habitats of Southeast Arizona. Birdathoners continue a tradition that has held strong for over 30 years! 

Each Birdathoner's personal network of supporters is what helps makes Birdathon possible.
