Team Santa Cruzing is a group of enthusiastic supporters and volunteers with the Tucson Audubon Society. TAS is an incredible organization whose mission is to inspire people to enjoy and protect birds through recreation, education, conservation, and restoration of the environment upon which we all depend.
Birdathon 2022 is our opportunity to raise funds to support programs of the Tucson Audubon Society. Our team goal is to spot and identify 100 species of birds during a series of outings between April 8 - May 8. We will bird sections of the historic Anza Trail along the Santa Cruz River, favorite spots in Madera Canyon in the Santa Rita mountains, as well as in-and-around the town of Patagonia, all in southern Arizona's Santa Cruz County.

Pledges:
- Suzanne Mattox: $0.50/species and an extra $5 for owls!
- Mary Dunham: $1/species and an extra $5/warbler species
- Marcia Grand: $10/species; $5 for every active nest (building, eggs, sitting, etc); $10 for every species of identified snake; $5 for every species of identified butterfly; $50 for a turtle; an extra $100 if you ID 5 or more hummingbird species; $500 for one eagle
- Audrey Dillingham & Pam Hughes: $1/species, $1 for each unique species “in the eyes of the beholder,” plus $50 for “each Road Runner that goes ‘beep-beep’ while being chased by a coyote”
Birds have a unique, special, and different meaning to each of us. So, too, is each of our connection with Tucson Audubon Society personal and distinct. During Birdathon, we combine the love of bird watching during spring migration with support for bird conservation.
Birdathoners are birders and social fundraisers, joining together to make a difference for the birds and habitats of Southeast Arizona. Birdathoners continue a tradition that has held strong for over 30 years!
Each Birdathoner's personal network of supporters is what helps makes Birdathon possible.
Birdathon donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Tucson Audubon Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
