Hi friends! This is my second year participating in the annual Tucson Audubon Birdathon. Last year I saw 99 species(!) with my birding friends Peggy Steffens and Andrea Serrano – we call our team the Birdini's. This year my goal is to raise $2000 to help the Tucson Audubon Society (TAS) in their mission to protect birds and their habitat. Our team is heading out on April 21st to find as many species as possible with the hope of beating our total from last year.
I have always loved birds. Each has its own personality - quirky, funny, and intriguing. Discovering Tucson Audubon (TAS) literally changed my life. It brings me much joy to share my love of birds with other like-minded friends! I love volunteering with TAS, especially with school-aged children. I don't think that you have to try very hard to make nature experiences enjoyable, but TAS is the icing on the cake when it comes to creative and fun learning programs. TAS does many other exciting things to protect the birds that we love. But the above reasons are why I support TAS and why I'm encouraging you to join me.
You have two ways to contribute and no amount is too small to help achieve my goal. You can make a flat donation or you can pledge an amount to make us work even harder to find different species of birds. For example, you could pledge a $1 for each bird we find, $5 for a roadrunner or your favorite bird, $25 for an owl, $50 for an eagle, or a specific amount for the number of yellow birds, or birds that begin with a certain letter - be creative with your pledge. It makes our day even more fun when we have to decide where to go to see your target birds. All of the money donated stays in Tucson and the donation is tax deductible.
As a Thank You for making a Donation, the Birdini’s are leading a Bird Walk at Sweetwater Wetlands at 7 AM on April 29th. Join us for a fun time and leisurely stroll as we admire the birds at a local hotspot.
Thank you for supporting my Birdathon! I appreciate YOU and your contributions to Tucson Audubon!

Pledges:
Birds have a unique, special, and different meaning to each of us. So, too, is each of our connection with Tucson Audubon Society personal and distinct. During Birdathon, we combine the love of bird watching during spring migration with support for bird conservation.
Birdathoners are birders and social fundraisers, joining together to make a difference for the birds and habitats of Southeast Arizona. Birdathoners continue a tradition that has held strong for over 30 years!
Each Birdathoner's personal network of supporters is what helps makes Birdathon possible.
Birdathon donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Tucson Audubon Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
